Help with Dino Letter Hunt on iPhone and iPad, with guidance for the separate browser game too.

Install or update the iPhone and iPad beta

Open our TestFlight invitation on your iPhone or iPad and follow Apple’s installation steps. If you already have the app, open TestFlight, select Dino Letter Hunt, and choose Update when a new build is available. A grown-up should handle installation and beta feedback.

Start a letter together

In the app, tap Let’s play and introduce Pip. On Hear, tap the letter or the name and sound controls. On Match, simply tap the picture. Children can replay a sound and choose when to continue. On the main menu, tapping Pip plays one of Hope’s greetings.

You can also open the separate free web beta. It may differ from the latest native app, and its progress stays in that browser.

Introduce unfamiliar picture names before trying the activity. “Present” for gift or “lizard” for iguana is a reasonable response. Stars celebrate completing the activity, not a test score.

If a sound doesn’t play

1. Check the app’s speaker button and the device’s media volume. Make sure sound is playing through the intended speaker rather than connected headphones.
2. Tap the letter or picture’s speaker control to replay the recording.
3. In the native app, close and reopen the app if playback is stuck. Check for an update using the service you installed it from; beta testers use TestFlight. Avoid deleting the app, which can remove progress.
4. In the web beta, check your connection and reload the page. The browser game may need to download the recording.

The native iPhone and iPad app uses Hope’s bundled recordings. It does not substitute a browser voice. Pause the sound-learning activity and send feedback if a recording is unclear or missing.

If a picture or page doesn’t load

In the native app, close and reopen it, then check for an update. Its learning images and recordings are included with the installation. In the web beta, check the connection, then reload the page. If the problem continues, note the letter and picture name for a report.

How do we collect the other pictures?

Each letter unlocks one dinosaur friend and has three pictures to collect. Open My letters on the main menu and play the same letter again to discover another picture. For example, A brings Amber, and repeat visits collect apple, ant and alligator. Three stars on each letter show how many pictures you have found. My dinosaur book is available directly on the main menu.

Where did the collection go?

In the native app, use the same device and open My dinosaur book. Progress does not sync across devices, and deleting the app can remove it. Installing an update normally keeps the existing app data. The app does not import progress from the browser game.

Use the same browser and device as before. Progress is saved locally when browser storage is available. Private browsing, clearing site data or switching browsers can make the explorer book unavailable. There is no login or cloud backup to restore it from.

Avoid clearing site data while troubleshooting unless you want to remove that browser’s progress. In the separate web beta’s Grown-ups area, hold to review a reset or choose “Reset using confirmation.” The native app also offers a parent-gated reset with confirmation. A reset starts a new collection; it is not a secure-erasure tool.

Take a break whenever you like

Use Home when it is time to stop. Turning animation off is available in the app’s Grown-ups settings, and sound has its own speaker control. Short, shared sessions with room to pause and replay are a good way to explore together.

Email support@dinoletterhunt.com. TestFlight testers can also select Dino Letter Hunt and choose Send Beta Feedback. These details help:

• Your device model, system version, and app version—or browser if using the web beta.
• The letter and screen: Hear, Find, Match, reward, or dinosaur book.
• What you tapped, what happened, and what you expected.
• For audio: the word or phrase, and whether it was delayed, cut off, unclear, or silent.

Please leave out children’s names, photos and recordings. If you include a screenshot, crop away unrelated tabs, account details and notifications.
